Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons (11-3-0-1) extended their win streak to four games Friday night with a 5-3 victory over the Albany Devils. Springfield has won six of its last seven games, dating back to November 1.

The Falcons went 2-for-6 on the power play, getting both scores from winger Jonathan Marchessault. The Quebec City native scored the first just 2:03 into the game, as he received a cross-ice pass and buried it into the back of the net. He added his second at 5:46 of the third period to extend the Falcons lead to 4-2. Marchessault's third-period tally served as the eventual game-winner.

Ryan Craig scored just 17 seconds into the second period to give Springfield a 3-0 lead. The score moved the team's captain into a tie with Rob Murray for fifth place on the Falcons all-time goal scoring list at 61. Also adding an assist, Craig recorded his first multi-point game of the season and pulled to within one point of matching Scott Levins for 10th on the team's all-time points list with 114.

Dalton Smith added his first goal of the season at 13:35 of the opening frame, and defenseman Frederic St. Denis sealed the victory with an empty-net tally at 19:23 of the third period.

Reid Boucher, Kelly Zajac and Tim Sestito scored the goals for Albany.
