Hurricanes Recall Lindholm from Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Elias Lindholm from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team also has reassigned forward Chris Terry to Charlotte.

Lindholm, 18, was assigned to Charlotte on Nov. 6, and scored one goal and earned two assists (3 points) in six games with the Checkers. The Boden, Sweden, native began the season with the Hurricanes and scored one goal and earned one assist (2 points) in 10 games with Carolina prior to being assigned to Charlotte. The Hurricanes drafted Lindholm in the first round, fifth overall, in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The Hurricanes take on the Boston Bruins on Saturday at TD Garden (1 p.m., SportSouth, Hurricanes Radio Network). The team will return to Raleigh following Saturday's game and will host the Ottawa Senators on Sunday at 5 p.m. at PNC Arena.
