Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today a season long initiative to raise money towards cancer research. The program will be called "Cowick's Fight for a Cure". Corey Cowick has pledged to donate $10 to the American Cancer Society for every successful B-Sens penalty kill on home ice during the 2013-2014 regular season.

Currently ranking ninth in the American Hockey League for penalty kills at home, the Binghamton Senators have successfully stopped their opponents 34 of 39 times, raising $340 so far. At the conclusion of the season Corey will present a check to the American Cancer Society totaling the amount of money raised for cancer research.

In addition to Corey's individual contributions he has also created a Relay for Life team which allows fans to track the funds raised throughout the year as well as allow others to donate to the cause by following http://main.acsevents.org/goto/cowick .

Join the Binghamton Senators and Corey as we work to find a cure for a disease which claims thousands of lives each and every year.
