Falcons Start Weekend With A Win

FRESNO, CALIFORNIA - The Fresno Falcons beat the Victoria Salmon Kings by a 3-2 score Friday night on the 9th Annual Toys for Tots Teddy Bear Toss game.

The Salmon Kings went into the first intermission with a 2-0 lead against the Falcons, but Fresno answered quickly in the second period when Adam Berti scored at 2:18 of the period unleashing the rain of stuffed animals on the ice to benefit the U. S. Marines Toys for Tots program. Just 1:05 later, Brennan Turner scored his second goal of the season to tie the game. The Falcons continued to dominate the period and Jarrett Konkle found the back of the net for the game winning goal at 12:18. Igor Gongalsky notched two assists on the night.

The Falcons were without leading scorer Matt Stefanishion who has been loaned to Hartford of the AHL.

The Falcons again host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Saturday December 6 at Selland Arena, game start at 7:35 p.m. The Falcons then play host to the Stockton Thunder on Sunday December 7, game start at 5:05 p.m.
