ELMIRA, N.Y. (December 6, 2008) -- The Trenton Devils gave up a two-goal lead against the Elmira Jackals and lost for the fourth time this season to the Jackals in a 3-2 loss on the road Saturday night.

The Devils got on the board 8:37 into the game when Mitch O'Keefe gave up a rebound on a Dave Leaderer shot from the point, allowing Jeff Prough to whack the puck in from the slot. The goal was Prough's sixth of the season.

Matt Cohen doubled the Trenton lead at 4:31 of the second period when his shot from the near circle trickled through O'Keefe.

Steve Yetman put the Jackals within a goal at 12:33 of the second on a one-timer from Kaleb Betts in front of the net, making the score 2-1.

The Jackals would tie the game in the third period when Benoit Doucet took a loose puck away from Matt Cohen behind the net and wrapped it around past Jason Smith at 3:29.

Josh Aspenlind scored the deciding goal with 8:38 left when he deflected in a Pierre-Luc Faubert wrist shot from the blue line past Smith.

Smith made 26 saves for Trenton in the loss, as the Devils were outshot 29-20. The 20 shots were Trenton's lowest output of the season. The Devils finished 1-for-4 on the power play, and killed all three of their penalties.

The Devils return to Sovereign Bank Arena Friday night against the Johnstown Chiefs, with the puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears and other stuffed animals to the game for the annual Teddy Bear Toss during the game's first intermission.
