ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades wrapped up their six-game home stand by sweeping three games from the Alaska Aces. The The Everblades enter this week's action with a record of 13-6-0 (26 pts., 2nd, South Division.)

Thursday & Friday, December 6 & 7 at Gwinnett Gladiators
Game Times: 7:05 p.m. Thursday; 7:35 p.m Friday
The Everblades open a brief three-game road trip with a pair of games against their South Division rival Gwinnett Gladiators. The games are the first two of seven meetings on the year between the clubs, and are the first two of four in Gwinnett. The Everblades finished last season with a 4-4-2 record vs. the Gladiators, including going 2-2-1 at Gwinnett. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 13-14-6 vs. Gwinnett and are 6-9-1 all-time on the road vs. the Gladiators. Gwinnett enters this week's action with a record of 12-5-1 (25 pts, 3rd, South Division).
Saturday, December 8 at Columbia Inferno
Game Time: 7:05 p.m.
The Everblades and Inferno meet for the fourth of eight times on Saturday night and the second of four at the Carolina Coliseum. The Everblades lead the season series 2-1-0. Both wins for the Everblades came on home ice, while the Inferno won the lone game played between the clubs in Columbia, 4-3 on Nov. 13. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 27-13-7 and are 10-10-3 all-time at Columbia. The Inferno enter this week's action with a record of 8-9-4 (20pts., 6th, South Division).

Wednesday, November 28 vs. Alaska Aces 4-1 Win
The Everblades rode the shoulders of goaltender Justin Peters to a 4-1 win on Wednesday night at Germain Arena. Mathieu Melanson scored the game's first two goals, one in the first, one in the second before Alaska tallied to cut the Florida lead in half. Jarret Lukin notched a late second period goal and then Chris Rebernik sealed the game with his first goal as an Everblade less than five minutes remaining in the game. In goal Peters made 34 saves to earn the win. Florida Special Teams: PP: 1-for-5; PK 8-for-8.
Friday, November 30 vs. Alaska Aces 3-1 Win
The Everblades once again rode on the shoulders of goalie Justin Peters, who made 43 saves to guide the Everblades to a 3-1 win on Friday night. Offensively Ernie Hartlieb, Mathieu Melanson and Frank MacDonald led the way scoring the three goals. Florida Special Teams: PP: 1-for-4; PK: 5-for-5.
Saturday, December 1 vs. Alaska Aces 4-3 Win
The Everblades won their third straight by engineering a come-back victory over the Aces on Saturday night at Germain Arena. After spotting the Aces a 2-0 lead by the midpoint of the second period, the Everblades exploded to score the game's next four goals and open a 4-2 lead by the three-minute mark of the third period. Mathieu Melanson once again chipped in two goals, while Ernie Hartlieb and Joe Guenther added the others. In net Justin Peters won his fourth straight start by turning away 39 of 42 Alaska shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 0-for-7; PK: 8-for-8.

Player of the Week Nominee: This week's Everblades Player of the Week nominee is Mathieu Melanson who extended his point scoring streak to 12 games with six points in the three games this past week. Melanson tallied five goals and added one assist while finishing plus-5. The goaltender of the Week nominee is Justin Peters who won all three games in net this past week to push his winning streak to four.
Special Teams Breakdown: Here's a look at the special teams of the Everblades and how it breaks down home and away: Power play: 21-for-111 (18.9%) which ranks the Everblades 10th in the ECHL. At home the Everblades are 13-for-63 (20.6%) which ranks 7th, and on the road the Everblades are 8-for-48 (16.7%) which ranks 14th. Penalty Kill: 106-for-116 (91.4%) which ranks the Everblades 1st in the ECHL. At home the 'Blades are 59-for-60 (98.3%) which is 1st in the league and on the road the Everblades have killed off 47 of 56 (83.9%) chances against them which ranks 10th.

Record Setting Night: In the Everblades' 3-1 win over Alaska on Nov. 30, three all-time records were set or tied. The Everblades set a new all-time team record for fastest goal at the start of a game when Ernie Hartlieb scored 12 seconds into the contest. The goal broke the previous record set on Nov. 14, 2006 when Jon Lehun scored 13 seconds into a game vs. Columbia. Hartlieb's tally also tied a team record for fastest goal at the start of a period, which was last accomplished on Jan. 9, 2001 by Matt Demarski. The Everblades also matched an all-time team record by managing only two shots on goal a period, when the Aces held the Blades to that total in the third period. It was the 5th time in team history the Everblades were limited to two shots in a frame. The last time it happened was Nov. 3, 2006 at Toledo.
