Charlotte, N.C. - The Checkers battled the Mississippi Sea Wolves Saturday for the second time at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice this season and lost by a score of 3-2.

CHECKERS SHUT OUT INFERNO

Charlotte, N.C. - The Checkers and the Columbia Inferno would play the second game of a home and home series Friday at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice and it would only take one goal to tell the story.

Columbia, S.C. - The Checkers played the Columbia Inferno for the fourth time this season Thursday to a 4-1 loss.

CHECKERS NOTES

- Blake Bellefeuille leads the team in points with 15 (6g,9a)

- After playing three games in three nights last week, the Checkers will only play once during the upcoming week. The game will be home against Johnstown-a team the Checkers have yet to play against this season

- Curtis Darling became the seventh goalie to play in a game for Charlotte in 16 team games this season

- Lee Falardeau suffered an upper body injury during the Columbia game Friday and isn't expected back for a few weeks

- The Checkers have played the least amount of games in the league with 16...the most games played thus far is 21 for both Mississippi and Columbia
