Hershey Bears News Release

HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League that forward Eric Perrin has been named to the starting lineup for the Canadian AHL All-Star team for the 2004 Pepsi AHL All-Star Classic to be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Monday, February 9th.

Perrin leads the BEARS in scoring with 13 goals and 36 points in 39 games played this season. He was signed as a free agent by the Tampa Bay Lightning last summer. It will be the first time Perrin has participated in AHL All-Star festivities. A native of Laval, Quebec, Perrin spent the last three seasons in Finland before signing with Tampa Bay. He was a teammate of Martin St. Louis at the University of Vermont, where he is still the school's all time leader in games played, goals and game-winning goals.

The BEARS play back-to-back home games this weekend as the Albany River Rats come to town for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff Saturday night. HERSHEY will play host to the Binghamton Senators Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Tickets for both games are available at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling 717-534-3911.
