New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release

El Paso - Former LSU Tiger Ryan Schimpf delivered the late heroics on Saturday with a two-run pinch-hit walk-off home run in the eleventh inning to give El Paso a 10-8 victory. The victory ruined a remarkable comeback by the visiting New Orleans Zephyrs.

The Chihuahua's led 8-0 heading into the ninth inning when the Zephyrs rallied for eight runs to tie the game. New Orleans sent 13 batters to the plate and scored eight times on eight hits for its biggest inning of the season.

Derek Eitel pitched two scoreless innings for the win and Greg Nappo suffers the defeat after pitching two scoreless.

The Zephyrs (15-20) have dropped four consecutive games.
