From the Notes
It Starts in May: After a solid month of April when Nashville starting pitchers went 7-7 with a 3.40 ERA, they've kicked it up a notch in May. Sounds starters are 5-5 with a 2.62 ERA in the month of May. They combined for seven quality starts in April and already have seven in May.
No Problem in Game One: Over the last five series, the Sounds have won game one of the set four times but have only gone on to win one series (Round Rock). The lone loss to start a series was against Memphis - a series they went on to split.
Pinder x4: Chad Pinder's perfect 4-for-4 night at the plate was the eighth time in his career he has collected four hits in a game. It's also the first time this season a Sounds player has had a four-hit game.
Wide Margins: Last night's 9-1 win was the largest margin of victory for the Sounds this year. The previous high was an 8-1 win over Colorado Springs in game two of a doubleheader April 20.
