
Eight LumberKings on 2005 MWL All-Star Roster

Beloit, WI - George H. Spelius, President of The Midwest League, is pleased to announce the 2005 All-Star Game Rosters. The All-Stars were nominated and selected by the MWL Field Managers. The Peoria Chiefs are hosting the 2005 MWL Summer All-Star Classic on June 21st at O'Brien Field in Peoria, Illinois.
The league's Field Managers chose eight LumberKings to play in the 2005 MWL All-Star game. The LumberKings chosen include: John Bannister, Cameron Coughlan, Jim Fasano, Emerson Frostad, Tug Hulett, Eric Hurley, Chris Jaile, and Andrew Walker.
John Bannister was the opening day starter for the LumberKings. He is currently 4-5 with a 3.97 ERA in 12 starts for the LumberKings. The Texas Rangers signed Bannister as a non-drafted free agent in 2002.
Cameron Coughlan played 39 games for the LumberKings before being promoted to the Double A Frisco RoughRiders of the Texas League. He hit .351 and had 20 stolen bases in his stint in Clinton. Coughlan was selected in the 18th round of the June 2002 draft.
Jim Fasano is hitting .308 with four home runs and a team-leading 32 runs batted in for the LumberKings. The Texas Rangers selected Fasano in the 9th round of the June 2004 draft.
Emerson Frostad is hitting .283 and tied with a team-leading six home runs and 29 runs batted in while playing third base for the LumberKings. Frostad was selected in the 11th round of the June 2003 draft.
Tug Hulett is hitting .298 with a team leading 40 walks for the season. Tug is the son of former major leaguer Tim Hulett and was chosen in the 14th round of the June 2004 draft.
Eric Hurley is tied for the team lead in wins with five and has a 4.23 ERA in 61.2 innings on the mound for the LumberKings. Hurley was selected in the 1st round (30th overall selection) of the June 2004 draft.
Chris Jaile has been solid out of the LumberKings bullpen posting a 3.13 ERA and is tied for the team lead with 3 Saves. Jaile, a former catcher now turned reliever was selected in the 4th round of the June 1999 draft.
Andrew Walker is 3-4 with a 2.69 ERA in 11 starts for the LumberKings. The Rangers signed him as a non-drafted free agent in 2004.
