ECHL Announces All-Stars That Will Take on the Condors

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced the reserves for the ECHL All-Stars for the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic presented by CCM and brought to you by Mercy & Memorial Hospitals.

The 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic presented by CCM will be hosted by the Bakersfield Condors at Rabobank Arena and played on Jan. 26, 2011. This year's format features the host team taking on a team of ECHL All-Stars.

There have been 52 players from the All-Star Game who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League, including 36 since 2002 when the lineups began featuring players considered prospects likely to move up to a higher level.

There are 11 rookies on the All-Star Team, and 20 of the 21 players are making their first ECHL All-Star Classic appearance, with the lone exception being Idaho's Mark Derlago, who appeared in the 2009 ECHL All-Star Classic as a member of the Bakersfield Condors.

The Alaska Aces are represented by rookie forward Chris Langkow. He is third on the team with 17 points (8g-9a) in 27 games.

Defenseman Brian O'Hanley will represent the defending Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones. He is sixth among ECHL defensemen with 17 points (4g-13a) in 30 games.

Elmira will be represented by rookie forward Eric Lampe who has 14 points (7g-7a) in 17 games this season.

The Gwinnett Gladiators are represented by rookie forward Aaron Bendickson who has 22 points (7g-15a) in 24 games this season. He was named ECHL Rookie of the Month in October.

Idaho rookie forward Kael Mouillierat is one of two Steelheads named to the All-Star Classic, joining starting forward Mark Derlago. The ECHL Rookie of the Month for November, Mouillierat is first among rookies with 14 goals and tied for first with 30 points.

Rookie defenseman Steven Tarasuk will represent the Kalamazoo Wings. Tarasuk has 11 points (2g-9a) in 25 games with the K-Wings this season.

The Ontario Reign are represented by rookie center Aaron Lewadniuk. In 27 games this season, Lewadniuk has eight goals and four assists for 12 points.

Reading is represented by rookie goaltender Ben Scrivens. Currently recalled to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, Scrivens is 8-3-0 with the Royals this season and ranks second in the ECHL with a 2.18 goals-against average and is first with a .936 save percentage.

Defenseman Josh Godfrey will represent the South Carolina Stingrays. In 24 games this season he has 13 points (9g-4a) and is second among ECHL defensemen with nine goals, five power-play goals and 79 shots.

The Stockton Thunder are represented by rookie center Mark Arcobello who has 13 points (6g-7a) in 26 games this season.

Peter Leblanc is the representative for the Toledo Walleye. The rookie center, who is currently recalled to the AHL's Rockford Ice Hogs, has 22 points (8g-14a) in 22 games with the Walleye this season. His 22 points are tied for sixth among ECHL rookies.

Trenton is represented by forward Ryan Ginand. He leads the Devils this season with 13 goals 31 points and a +7 rating in 26 games.

Defenseman Jake Gannon will represent the Utah Grizzlies. He has spent a majority of this season with the AHL's Peoria Rivermen. In nine games with Utah, Gannon has five points (1g-4a).

A pair of rookies will represent the Wheeling Nailers. Forward Ben Street is tied for first among ECHL rookies in assists (17) and points (30), leads all first-year players with 141 shots and is tied for second with 13 goals. Goaltender Patrick Killeen is tied for second in the league with 12 wins, and has posted a 2.56 goals-against average and a save percentage of .911.

The reserves join the starters who were announced yesterday: Las Vegas goaltender Michael Ouzas, Victoria defenseman P.J. Atherton, Greenville defenseman Julien Brouillette, Greenville forward Brendan Connolly, Idaho forward Mark Derlago and Florida forward Mitch Fadden.

Hall of Fame Luncheon

The fourth class will be inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame on Jan. 26, 2011 during a luncheon ceremony presented by BFL Canada at the Marriott Bakersfield Hotel, the official host hotel of the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic.

Tickets for the luncheon are $40 each or a table with seven tickets can be purchased for $250. Fans can purchase tickets by downloading the Luncheon Ticket Order Form or by calling the Condors Office at (661) 324-7825.

About the ECHL All-Star Classic

The past eight ECHL All-Star Games have generated more than $1 million each for the local economy as guests, players, coaches and fans occupy hundreds of hotel rooms and spend three days in the host city.

The game has been available live on the NHL Network the last eight years as well as being broadcast on multiple regional networks. The audio broadcast has been carried on XM Satellite Radio as well as being available in all ECHL markets.

The Stanley Cup and the Patrick J. Kelly Cup will both be on display throughout the event, marking the 11th time in the last 12 years that the NHL championship trophy and the ECHL championship trophy have been displayed together at the All-Star Game.
