Ontario's Krantz Fined, Suspended

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced that Ontario ‚¬â„¢s Doug Krantz has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #280, Ontario at Victoria, on Dec. 29.

Krantz received a kneeing major and game misconduct at 9:47 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players ‚¬â„¢ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player ‚¬â„¢s Hardship Fund.

Krantz will miss Ontario ‚¬â„¢s game at Alaska on Dec. 31.
