Eagles Trim Roster by Nine Players

WINDSOR, CO. - The Colorado Eagles, proud AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that forwards Josh Winquist and Tim McGauley have been loaned to the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies, along with defenseman Matt Pufahl and goaltender Kevin Carr. Additionally, defenseman Gage Ausmus and forwards Ryan Walters, R.T. Rice and Austin Carroll have all been released from their respective PTO's and are also headed to Utah.
In a separate transaction, forward Hunter Smith has also been released from his PTO with the Eagles.
Colorado will conclude the preseason with a rematch against the San Jose Barracuda on Saturday, September 29th at 7:05pm at the Budweiser Events Center.
