
IceHogs Announce Roster Moves

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs today announced they have released the following players from their Professional Tryout (PTO) Agreements: Forwards Shaw Boomhower, Kevin DuFour, Sam Kurker, Mitch Maloney, Luke Sandler, Matt Schmalz and Mathew Thompson, defensemen Andrew DeBrincat, Robert Powers and Eric Shurhamer, and goaltenders Andy Iles and Jason Pawloski.
In addition, the following players, who are currently under AHL contract with Rockford, have been assigned to the IceHogs' ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel: Forwards Radovan Bondra and Connor Moynihan, and defensemen Neil Manning.
Rockford's roster now stands at 25 players (14 forwards, nine defensemen and two goaltenders).
The IceHogs will officially kick off the 2018-19 hockey season on Friday, Oct. 5 at the Cleveland Monsters. After playing back-to-back road games at Quicken Loans Arena, the Hogs will return to the BMO Harris Bank Center to host their 2018-19 home opener on Saturday, Oct. 13 against the Texas Stars at 6 p.m. The first 4,000 fans in attendance Saturday will receive a free IceHogs calendar, courtesy of Impact Networking.
