Colorado Eagles News Release
(Windsor, CO) - The Colorado Eagles announced Friday that they have signed amateur forward Tyler Fiddler to a standard player contract. The 6-foot, 180-pound winger recently concluded his collegiate career at Mount Royal University where he notched 12 goals and 23 assists in 26 games with the Cougars during his senior season.
A native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Fiddler began his CIS career at the University of Calgary where he posted 13 goals and 21 points in 22 contests. In total, Fiddler generated 38 goals and 58 assists in 86 games at the collegiate level. He was also named to the CIS West All-Star Team after posting 31 points in 28 games during the 2014-15 season.
In addition, the 25 year-old spent four seasons in the WHL with the Calgary Hitmen, serving as the team's captain during his final season. Fiddler finished his major-junior career with 43 goals and 60 assists in 175 WHL games, including a 2009-10 season that saw him score 30 goals and add 28 assists in 68 regular season contests. He would also help the Hitmen capture a WHL Championship during that same season.
Fiddler is expected to join the Eagles as they travel to kick off a two-game set against the Utah Grizzlies on Friday.
Tickets for groups of 15 or more start at just $14 per seat and can be purchased by calling the Eagles ticket office at 970-686-SHOT (7468).
