ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, return to home ice after a perfect five-for-five road stretch which took them from Wheeling, West Virginia to Brampton, Ontario and finally Glens Falls, New York. The Jackals host the Adirondack Thunder for the final meeting in Elmira this season.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Tonight the Jackals and Thunder complete the home-and-home weekend set at First Arena with the sixth and final meeting in Elmira. This matchup marks the 10th of 11 overall this season as the Jackals and Thunder renew their in-state rivalry. Last night, in Glens Falls, the Jackals completed their second consecutive shutout in Adirondack's home barn. Shane Owen turned aside all 24 shots faced to lead the Jackals past the Thunder, 2-0. Since the Jackals acquired him from Indy, Owen is 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against-average and a .954 save percentage in three starts. Mark Bennett and Zach Cohen scored for the Jackals. In the previous meeting at the Glens Falls Civic Center the Jackals dismantled the Thunder, 8-0. The Jackals' winning margin set a new high mark in the ECHL that still stands. The two teams split the previous weekend set in Elmira on Feb. 19-20. The Jackals won the first contest 2-1 in the shootout but fell to Adirondack the next night 3-1. The Jackals are 2-3-0 at home against the Thunder and 5-4-0 in the overall season series.
