Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that defenseman Jeff Dwyer has rejoined the team from the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers while defenseman Andrew MacDonald has left Utah for Bridgeport. The Grizzlies have also signed rookie goaltender Wylie Rogers.

The Grizzlies are the proud ECHL affiliate of the Sound Tigers and the NHL's New York Islanders.

MacDonald rejoins the Sound Tigers where he played the first 19 games of the year before being assigned to Utah in December. He signed a three-year contract with the Islanders last spring.

Dwyer was promoted earlier this week for the second time this year and played in Bridgeport's game on Wednesday. Prior to his promotion, he had scored in three of the Grizzlies last four games.

Rogers joins the Grizzlies after recently completing his college career at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

The Grizzlies return to action tonight in Las Vegas. Face-off is scheduled for 8:05 p.m.
