Wranglers edge Grizzlies 2-1

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers edged the Utah Grizzlies 2-1 in front of 4,956 fans at the Orleans Arena on Friday night. Left wing Brandon Kaleniecki scored the game-winning goal and goalie Daniel Manzato made 30 saves to improve to 21-6-5 on the year. Defenseman Jason Krischuk also scored a power-play goal in the victory. Utah goalie Mike Mole stopped 35 of 37 Las Vegas shots in the defeat. The Wranglers and Grizzlies will meet again on Saturday at the Orleans Arena at 7:05 pm.

Defenseman Jason Krischuk broke a scoreless tie with 26-seconds to go in the first period, scoring his sixth of the season. Tyler Mosienko and Ryan Donally each set up the power-play tally.

Just 25-seconds into the middle period the Grizzlies tied the game 1-1. Las Vegas goalie Daniel Manzato misplayed the puck, allowing Utah's Travis Rycroft to take possession. Rycroft fired the puck into the empty-net for his seventh goal of the year. At 6:02 of the second period, left wing Brandon Kaleniecki scored off a shot from the left-wing circle. Kaleniecki's 16th goal of the season was set up by Marco Peluso and Adam Cracknell, giving the Wranglers a 2-1 win.

The Wranglers will host Utah on Saturday, March 15th at 7:05 pm, followed up by a three-game series with Alaska starting Tuesday, March 18th at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
