Bombers Sign Henkemeyer

Dayton, OH- The American Conference Champion Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam and Head Coach Bill McDonald announced today defenseman Jim Henkemeyer has signed with the team.

Henkemeyer ("hink-uh-myer"), a 23-year-old native of St. Cloud, Minnesota, joins the Bombers after spending four seasons at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. The 5-foot-11-inch, 195-pound defenseman was a Division III All-American and tallied 68 points (18g,50a) in his 95 game career.

"Jim is an offensive-minded defenseman," said MacAdam. "We're looking forward to having him contribute for the rest of the season."

Henkemeyer has also played in the NAHL with Minnesota and Bismarck, where he combined for 14 points in the 2003-04 season.

The Bombers return to action at the Nutter Center on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 against the Trenton Devils; and Sunday, March 16 against the Cincinnati Cyclones for a three-day St. Patrick's Day weekend!
