Crucial Three Game Series Begins Tomorrow with Military Night

PENSACOLA, FL - The Ice Pilots continue their push for the playoffs when they play host to the Charlotte Checkers for the first time this season at the Hangar on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. Military Night sponsored by the Ice Pilots Booster Club will kick off a three game series between the two South Division clubs. The Ice Pilots will be wearing special Desert Storm Camo Jerseys which will be auctioned off following the game. Net proceeds of the jerseys will go to the Take Stock and Children Scholarship and Teen Ranch.

Head Coach John Marks will be honored before the game for his achievement of becoming the all-time winningest coach in ECHL History. Marks reached career win #481 on February 29th and has the most career wins amongst ECHL Head Coaches. He also was named Cat Country Coach of the Week for last week and will be given an award on Saturday.

The Ice Pilots currently sit 12 points behind eighth place Mississippi who is idle this weekend with three games in hand and three head-to-head meetings coming in the last seven days of the season. Two of these meetings will take place at the Hangar.

On Sunday at 5:05 p.m., it is the middle game of the three game set. Saturn Sunday and Recycle Sunday continue as fans still have a chance to register to play score-o and one fan will have a chance to win a 2008 Saturn Sky at the last Sunday home game of the season on March 30th vs. Mississippi. Also, fans who bring two plastic bags of newspapers will receive a free silver level ticket voucher to any Ice Pilots regular season home game.

Finally, Monday is St. Patrick's Day with game time at 7:05 p.m. It is Team Photo Night as all fans in attendance will receive a 2007-2008 Ice Pilots team photo courtesy of Wal-Mart. If you purchase a ticket to Monday's game, you will receive a free ticket for the following Monday game against Augusta on March 24th.

Don't miss the hard hitting, exciting action, as the Ice Pilots' next home game is Saturday, March 15 at 7:05 p.m. vs. the Charlotte Checkers at the Civic Center.
