March 14, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release

On February 29, 2008 I was announced as an official candidate for Man of the Year with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. http://www.active.com/donate/ccalmwoy08/ccalJTull

It is truly an honor to be nominated for the 2008 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man of the Year. I am very proud of what the Fresno Falcons have accomplished these past several years that I have been involved. It has always been our mission to serve the community and to be nominated for this campaign truly is an honor!http://www.active.com/donate/ccalmwoy08/ccalJTull

I have worked with many of you these past several years on several fundraisers. Some of you receiving this email have helped me and the Falcons raise money and some of you may be beneficiaries of the Falcons fundraising efforts. I am asking you to consider making a donation to my campaign. Please pass this on to your friends, family and co-workers. Thanks to all of you for supporting Fresno Falcons community partnerships. The Man & Woman of the Year winners will be announced on April 25th. Every dollar I earn counts as a vote and I only have eight weeks to get the vote out. Please submit your (votes) by April 21st!

Just so you know, I will be running on behalf of two special honorees - Branson Stokes, Boy of the Year, and Makayla Weaver, Girl of the Year pictured above. Branson is four years old. He was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma) on April 10, 2007. Branson is currently in delayed intensive treatment. Makayla is seven years old. She was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma) on January 3, 2007. After a few complications, Makayla has just started maintenance.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a national voluntary health agency dedicated to curing Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma and improving the quality of life of patients and their families. Leukemia is the number one killing disease of children under the age of 20. The good news is that the survival rate has risen from 4% in 1960 to 81% in the last decade. This is in part due to the money that The Leukemia & Lymphoma society has raised to aid researchers in their fight to find cures for this disease.
