Ducks Assign Goaltender Bobkov, Stefan Warg to Utah

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have assigned goaltender Igor Bobkov and defenseman Stefan Warg from the AHL's Norfolk Admirals to the Grizzlies.

Bobkov, 22 and six-foot-six, returns to Utah where he started the Grizzlies first four games and went 1-1-1-1 with a 2.93 goals-against-average and a .895 save percentage. He appeared in two games with Norfolk over the last two weeks and had a 2.95 goals-against-average, a .925 save percentage and a 0-1-0-1 record. Bobkov was selected by Anaheim in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and spent all of last year in Norfolk.

Warg, 23, and a 2008 draft pick of Anaheim, is six-foot-three and playing in his first year of pro hockey in North America after playing in his native Sweden three years following junior hockey in the Western Hockey League. He has appeared in one game for the Admirals this year.

This Weekend

Friday is Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Night featuring Monique Pineault, the wife of Grizzlies forward and assistant captain Adam Pineault. She joined ABC 4 this week to share her story.

Saturday is "Pooch on the Pond" where fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the game for a $24 a person with their dog. After Saturday's game is a free post-game skate. Skate rental is $2.

Monday is the first Maverik Monday of the year. Get six tickets for $30 with a receipt from Maverik.

Face-off all three nights is at 7 p.m.
