Tonight's Matchup: Following their eight-game road trip, the San Francisco Bulls (2-5-1-0) finally return home, tonight, to take on the Bakersfield Condors (0-6-0-1) at the Cow Palace. This is the first of 11 meetings between these two clubs this season.

To help celebrate tonight's occasion, San Francisco Mayor, Ed Lee, will drop the ceremonial first puck. Fans can expect a spectacular show, including pyro technics. All fans in attendance will receive a magnetic schedule giveaway.

Two nights ago, the Bulls lost a hard-fought 2-0 contest against the Ontario Reign. The Reign scored towards the end of the first period, and then again on an empty netter with 19 seconds left in the game. In what was truly a "˜goaltenders' duel,' Ontario netminder Michael Hutchinson pitched the shutout, and J.P. Anderson was the tough-luck loser for San Francisco, allowing just one goal on 24 shots faced.

Through eight games, the Bulls' offense has had a tough time getting going, and they will be looking to ignite a spark now that they are finally on home ice for the first time this season. Mark Lee and Dale Mitchell, have provided most of the scoring punch thus far, combining for 13 points (5g, 8a).

On the defensive end, San Francisco has a pair of solid goaltenders. Tyler Beskorowany started the first six games of the year, and is third in the league in saves. Anderson has gotten his shot as well, starting each of the last two contests, and has performed valiantly in losing efforts. He has a strong 2.02 goals-against average and .911 save percentage.

The Condors have struggled in the early going, and are still looking for their first win. Jordan Knackstedt leads the team in goals (2), shots on goal (20), and is tied for the team lead in points (3).

San Francisco is in seventh place in the Western Conference with five points, one behind the Las Vegas Wranglers. Bakersfield is in ninth place in the Western Conference with one point, three back of the Utah Grizzlies.
