North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays battle the Evansville IceMen tonight at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum. Note of the Night:

The Stingrays extended their season-opening point streak to nine games (8-0-0-1) last night with a 4-2 victory over the Greenville Road Warriors and sent their winning streak to eight contests. Forward Marc Hagel registered two goals in the win and the Stingrays recorded a season-high 56 shots on goal.

Making History:

The season-opening point streak and winning streak is the team's best start in the organization's history. During the 1996-97 campaign, the Stingrays went 7-0-0-2 in the first nine games.

Leading the Way:

Forward Jordan Owens is currently on a four game-point streak with four goals and an assist and forward Scott Campbell leads the Stingrays in points (11) and goals (7).

The Stingrays wrap up a three-game in three-day series tomorrow, Saturday, November 9 against the IceMen at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum. After the contest, the Stingrays join the South Carolina Advocates for Epilepsy and MUSC Neurosciences for a Hockey Heroes for Epilepsy Preview Party at Ms. Rose's in Charleston.
