Thunder Take Down the Eagles 3-2 in Overtime

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles fell to the Stockton Thunder 3-2 in overtime on Friday night at the Budweiser Events Center.

Thunder forward Kirill Kabanov found the back of the net first, on a power play, 12:05 into the first frame to give Stockton the early 1-0 lead.

7:02 into the second period, Stockton forward Corey Trivino put the puck past Eagles goalie Marc Cheviere to set the Thunder ahead 2-0. Colorado forward Ray Sawada chipped a shot over Stockton netminder Brian Foster to get the Eagles on the board, 2-1, 12:33 into the second.

Eagles newcomer Jonathan Parker tied the game at 2-2 with a one-timer 15:12 into the third. The game went into 4-on-4 overtime with the tied score of 2-2 ending regulation. Stockton forward Andrew Clark ended the match-up with the overtime goal to give the Thunder the 3-2 win. The Eagles finish their seven game home stand with a 5-1-1 record, capturing 11 of a possible 14 points during those seven games.
