Published on November 8, 2013 under ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the second-time in less than a week the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Cincinnati Cyclones. Last Sunday at Wings Stadium, the K-Wings dropped a 5-4 shootout decision to the Cyclones. Tonight will be the second of 11 meetings between the teams and second of six to be played at Wings Stadium.
Kalamazoo snapped a two-game winless streak on Wednesday with a 3-2 shootout victory over the Wheeling Nailers. The victory was head coach Nick Bootland's 200th in his career. This evening is the third-leg of a five-game home stand for the K-Wings, who are 1-0-0-1 so far during the stretch.
Entering this evening with a perfect record of 6-0-0-0, the Cyclones are the only remaining undefeated team in the ECHL. A majority of Cincinnati's success has come on the road, where they are 4-0-0-0 and have outscored their opponents 21-11.

Penalty Kill

Trouble in the Middle
Six games into the season, the K-Wings worst scoring differential period has been the second. Kalamazoo has been outscored 8-3 in the middle stanza.
Working Overtime Lately 60 minutes hasn't been enough for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo's last two games have been decided in a shootout.
