TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Five days removed from their sixth straight victory, the Cyclones are back in Kalamazoo tonight to close out their five-game road trip. Courtesy of a shootout win at Wings Stadium on Sunday, Cincinnati remains atop the North Division standings with a 6-0 record and will look to further distance themselves from their Mitten State rivals.

SCOUTING THE WINGS: Nick Bootland earned his 200th career coaching victory on Wednesday morning as his Wings picked up a 4-3 shootout triumph against Wheeling. Amidst the early season struggles, Yanni Gourde and Eric Kattelus have both been hot offensively. Gourde leads the team with eight points in six games this year while Kattelus (a former Cyclone) has notched seven points during the same stretch. Joel Martin and Jordan Binnington have split the duties in net for Kalamazoo in the early going. Martin, who suffered the shootout defeat last Sunday against the Cyclones, is 1-1-0-1 this year with a 3.26 goals against average. Binnington, the reigning OHL Goalie of the Year, picked up his first professional victory on Wednesday giving him a 1-2-0-0 record this season and has posted a GAA of 2.29.

The League's Hottest Player: Wade Megan was recognized earlier this week as the ECHL Player of the Week for Oct 28-Nov 3. He has totaled nine points (6g, 3a) in his last three games. Megan leads all ECHL rookies with six goals and 12 points, and is tied for second among first-year players in plus-minus at +8. His 12 points are tied for second overall in the league while his six goals have him tied for third.

Shutting the Ma"Door": Cyclones goaltender Rob Madore has been among the ECHL's best goaltenders this season. Madore, who is 5-0-0 in his five appearances this season, is tied for second in the league in wins, is fourth with 152 saves and is fifth with 311 minutes played. He earned his first shutout as a Cyclone on Friday night in Evansville, turning aside all 26 shots he faced.

Simply Offensive...in a good way: Cincinnati has remained the best offensive team in the ECHL, rocketing to an average of 4.67 goals-scored per game. They have posted five goals or more in four consecutive contests.
