Today's Game: The Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Snappers (affiliate of the Minnesota Twins) in the first game of a three-game set. Season Series: This is the first meeting between the two clubs. Streaks: Dayton: Lost 1 (Won 2 of last 3). Beloit: Lost 1 (3-13 over last 16).
Last Game: Dayton lost to Clinton 4-3 on Sunday. All four Clinton runs came in the fourth inning as they overcame a 2-0 deficit. Dayton got a big day from Henry Rodriguez (3 for 3, double, triple, RBI, R). Chris Richburg also had three hits and an RBI. Tim Crabbe was outstanding out of the bullpen, going four scoreless innings and allowing just two base runners (both singles) with five strikeouts.
Today's Starting Pitcher: Ricky Bowen will make his first start of the season tonight. Bowen has made three relief appearances since joining the Dragons from extended spring training on May 25th. In his last appearance Friday night vs. Clinton, Bowen was not involved in the decision (2.1 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 3 SO). Bowen was selected by the Reds in the 43rd round of the 2009 draft out of Mississippi State University. He played at Mississippi State University. After signing with the Reds last summer, Bowen logged just 14.1 innings, going 0-2, 6.28 with Billings (Pioneer League). Bowen went 2-3, 8.44 at MSU as a junior in the spring of 2009. Bowen, 22, is a native of Jasper, Alabama.
Skipper: Todd Benzinger is in his second season with the Dragons and in the Reds organization as a manager in 2010. Benzinger enjoyed a nine-year major league playing career from 1987-1995 with the Reds, Red Sox, Royals, Dodgers, and Giants. Todd is a former first baseman who recorded the final putout of the 1990 World Series with the Reds to complete their four-game sweep of the Oakland A's. Benzinger is a native of the Cincinnati area and currently resides in West Chester, Ohio.
Individual Notes
* Henry Rodriguez hit .458 on the homestand, going 11 for 24 with a HR, six doubles, a triple, and 6 RBI. Rodriguez is tied for second in the MWL in doubles, tied for fourth in RBI, tied for fourth in extra base hits, fifth in total bases, and second in lowest strikeout percentage.
* Cameron Satterwhite is batting .379 over his last eight games.
* Didi Gregorius over his last 10 games: .364 with two doubles, two triples, a home run, six RBI, and only 3 SO in 45 AB.
* Josh Garton is batting .348 over his last seven games.
* Chris Richburg since coming off the D.L. Tuesday: 9 for 24, .375, 3 HR (team-leading 7 in 2010).
* Chase Ware has a 0.79 ERA over his last 12 games covering 34 innings (3 earned runs). He has tossed 18.1 straight scoreless innings.

* The Dragons completed their first series win since May 10-12 on Sunday as they won two of three vs. Clinton. Over the previous six sets, they had split one and lost five.
* Dayton is batting .295 as a team over its last 10 games. The Dragons hit .315 in the series with Clinton (MWL leaders in team ERA).
* Dayton has stolen three bases in a game in each of the last two games and three of the six June games. They did not steal more than two bases in any game in April or May.
