
Devils Sign Bergin to PTO; Sissons Reassigned to Adirondack

BINGHAMTON - The Binghamton Devils announced today that the club has signed defenseman Desmond Bergin to a professional tryout. The announcement came from Binghamton's general manager, Tom Fitzgerald. In addition, the New Jersey Devils have reassigned defenseman Colby Sissons to the Adirondack Thunder.
Bergin, 26, has registered 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in 32 games this season with the Adirondack Thunder. The Natick, MA native has played in eight American Hockey League games this year between Providence and Milwaukee. In 157 games in the ECHL, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound defenseman racked up 89 points (29 goals, 60 assists) with Adirondack and Greenville. Prior to his professional career, Bergin spent four years at Harvard University.
The Binghamton Devils return home tomorrow against Belleville for DIFD Night and Saturday against Utica for Mascot Madness presented by McDonald's.
