Dayton beats Chiefs 4-1

Dayton, Ohio (March 23, 2007) - The Dayton Bombers defeated the Johnstown Chiefs by a score of 4-1 at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio on Friday night.

Dayton got on the board early in the second period, when Joe Cullen picked up the rebound of a shot from Brent Walton and fired it past Chiefs goaltender Morgan Cey at the 2:57 mark. Johnstown evened the score at 9:53 of the second, when Maxime Boisclair tipped Andrew Martens' point shot past Dayton goaltender Terry Denike. Dayton pulled ahead with 61 seconds remaining in the period when Bryce Anderson tipped a centering pass from Tim Konsorada past Morgan Cey.

The Bombers would add third-period goals from Yannick Tifu at 5:09 and Corey LeClair 10:13 to secure the 4-1 victory. Morgan Cey made 29 saves on 33 shots, taking the loss, while Ryan Munce made five saves in relief. The Chiefs were 1-for-5 on the power-play.
