SERIES HISTORY:
Tonight marks the sixth meeting of the season between Bakersfield and Las Vegas, with the Condors holding a 3-2-0 edge. It will be the 31st meeting between the two teams, with the Condors sporting an 9-18-3 mark against the Wranglers. After tonight, Bakersfield and Las Vegas will meet just once more, Tuesday, March 27th at the Orleans Arena.
The first time the teams met this season, on November 11th, Bakersfield led 3-1 early in the third period, but the Wranglers scored the final three goals and escaped The Nest with a 4-3 victory. In the second match-up, just a couple of weeks later, Las Vegas jumped out to a 5-2 lead at the Orleans Arena, then held off a frantic Condors rally in the third to win, 6-4.
But the Condors have turned the tables in the last three contests, winning 5-1 and 3-2 in Las Vegas, and 3-0 at The Nest. On December 18th, Bakersfield led 3- 0 after one, and coasted to a convincing victory. On January 5th, the Condors again scored three in the first, and this time it was just enough to hold up. And on January 31st at The Nest, Jamie Hodson recorded his first shutout of the season as Bakersfield stifled Las Vegas for the third straight time.
