Toledo Roughs Up Reading 3-2

In a very physical reunion between Toledo And Reading the Storm collected the first punch as Matt Zultek collected his 22nd goal of the season at 16:23 of the first period (Jeff Attard, Nick Parillo). In the second period, Chris Blight capitalized on a power play at 13:20 for his 23rd goal of the season (Andrew Martin, Mike Walsh). When Bruce Mulherin tipped a Blight pass in at 6:59 of the third period, Toledo had a 3-0 lead and look as though they would ride to an easy win. Goals by Lee Green and Joe Zappala made the game close in the end.

Koopmans ended the night with 20 saves for his 14th win of the season. Jeff Pietrasiak (6 saves) took the loss in relief of starter Yutaka Fukufuji (28 saves). With his goal, Matt Zultek extended his point streak to 10 games.
