Cyclones Players Macdonald and Reynolds Named PaysourceUSA ECHL Plus Performers

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Cincinnati Cyclones third-year defenseman Matt Macdonald and second-year forward Scott Reynolds have been named Paysource USA ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for December. They share the award with South Carolina defenseman Nate Kiser, all three players were +12. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.

Macdonald, a native of Niagara Falls, Ontario, added a goal and five assists for six points. Currently on loan to the Rockford Ice Hogs (AHL), Matt has been even or better in 24 of his 29 games with the Cyclones this season. Cincinnati recorded a club-record twelve wins in December.

Reynolds, a native of Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, scored three goals and added five assists during the month. For the season, Scott has nine goals and nine assists for 18 points. His +18 for the season is second-best among ECHL players.

In November, rookie David Desharnais claimed the award for Cincinnati. It was the first time in club history that the team had had a plus/minus monthly award winner. Desharnais turned in a +15 for November to take the honor.

The Cincinnati Cyclones play a pair of games at U.S. Bank Arena this weekend (Friday and Saturday) against the Reading Royals. Face off both nights is at 7:30pm.
