Mississippi Sea Wolves News Release
BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves defeated the Trenton Devils by a score of 4-1 in front of 3, 628 fans at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday evening.
Lance Monych opened the scoring for the Sea Wolves with his 16th goal of the season when he banged his own rebound past Trenton goaltender Dave Caruso at the 2:47 mark of the first period. Trenton would even the score when Andrew Leach would score on the rebound of Matt Radoslovich's shot at 14:11. The Sea Wolves answered back to grab a 2-1 lead at 15:38 when Pat Oliveto fired a shot that deflected off of a Trenton stick and past Caruso.
Oliveto found the back of the net for the second time at the 10:22 mark of the second period when his shot from the right poin beat Caruso through traffic, earning Oliveto the first multi-goal game of his career.
Kyle McAllister would cap the scoring for Mississippi, firing into the empty net at 18:59 of the third period as Trenton had pulled Caruso in favor of an extra attacker.
Mississippi was 0-for-3 on the power play and Ryan Munce made 28 saves to earn the win.
