Scouting the IceMen: Dwight Mullins' club remains winless on the road this season, going 0-5-0-1 thus far. Although they picked up a win this past Saturday, they remain one point behind Cincinnati with a record of 6-7-0-1. Kale Kerbashian, who has points in six of his last seven games, ranks atop the team in scoring with 13 points (5g, 8a). Brandon Wong is also a scoring threat, with 11 tallies (5g, 6a) in 12 tilts. Goaltender Chris Driedger has seen the bulk of the workload between the pipes this season and has amassed a 3-5-0-1 record with a 3.45 goals-against average. Fellow netminder Branden Komm saw his first full game of work this past weekend and surrendered six goals on 40 shots.
Last Time Out: A pair of four-point games from Zach Budish and Byron Froese highlighted a 7-3 blowout win for the Cyclones over the Wings in front of 2,875 at U.S. Bank Arena last Saturday. Stephan Vigier and Christiaan Minella also earned multi-point games while Rob Madore earned his second victory of the weekend by turning aside 24 shots.
Froese on Fire: Cyclones forward Byron Froese has exploded offensively over the last few weeks. He picked up a season-high four points last Saturday and leads the club with five goals and 10 assists. His offensive numbers rank tied for sixth in the ECHL.
Get Him the Puck: Rookie forward Stephan Vigier continues to surge in his first full year as a pro. He is fourth on the Cyclones with eight points in 12 games. The Clones have amassed a 5-0 when he lights the lamp and leads the team with two game-winning goals.
