Mallards Blanked by Thunder

WICHITA, Kan. (November 26, 2014) - Eric Lizon broke a scoreless tie at 7:18 of the third period and Tyler Bunz stopped 12 Quad City Mallard shots as the host Wichita Thunder (6-6-3) shut out the Mallards (7-4-4) 2-0 Wednesday night. The loss ended the Mallards' ECHL season-best nine game (5-0-4) regulation unbeaten streak.

The Thunder beat Mallard goaltender Evan Mosher- who was superb in making 33 saves- for the first when Lizon snapped the puck home from close range. Ian Lowe's empty net power play goal in the final seconds finished off the Mallards.

Todd Fiddler returned to the Mallard line-up Wednesday night after being activated from reserve while Johnny Rogic was placed on the reserve list.

The Mallards return to action on the road Friday night against the Tulsa Oilers. The Mallards next play at home Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Mavericks. After the game fans can join the Mallards at Bad Boyz in Davenport for a postgame party.
