Curve and Flying Squirrels Rained out on Wednesday
May 16, 2018 - Eastern League (EL1)
Altoona Curve News Release
CURVE, Pa. - Wednesday's game between the Altoona Curve and the Richmond Flying Squirrels has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a double-header on Saturday, August 25.
The make-up double-header on August 25 will begin at 4 p.m. and will consist of two seven-inning games at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
Fans with tickets for Wednesday's game can bring their ticket stubs back to the PNG Field box office to redeem them for a ticket for a remaining Curve home game in 2018 (of equal or lesser value, based on availability).
The Curve continue their homestand on Thursday and will begin a four-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Left-hander Taylor Hearn (0-0, 5.63) will start for Altoona and right-hander Kevin McAvoy (0-2, 6.91) is scheduled to pitch for Portland. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
Former Pirates outfielder and National League All-Star Andy Van Slyke will make an appearance at PNG Field on Thursday night, presented by Peoples. Thursday will also be Medical Professionals Night, presented by FirstEngergy, and the Curve will celebrate by wearing a Scrubs-style jersey on the field. Every Thursday at PNG Field is Thirstday, presented by Q94, with two-dollar 16 oz. Yuengling and regular sized sodas along with one-dollar Juniata-brand hot dogs. The ballpark gates will open at 5 p.m.
For tickets or more information, visit AltoonaCurve.com, call 877.99.CURVE or stop by the PNG Field box office.
