Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie announced today that rookie All-Star Matt Craig will return to the Utah lineup this evening when the Grizzlies host the San Diego Gulls at the E-Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The Grizzlies will be going for their third win in a row and the two-game series sweep versus the ECHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. Utah defeated the Gulls 3-2 Wednesday. The Grizzlies will also look to extend their perfect stretch on the penalty-kill to three games.

Craig returns to the Grizzlies following an AHL callup to the Manitoba Moose. The 23-year-old did not appear in any games with the club due to an injury sustained early on in Winnipeg.

Despite not being on Utah's active roster since January 16th, Craig is still tied for second in the ECHL in goals scored by rookies with 22. His five game-winning goals is also still tied for the league lead. Due to his injury, Craig saw minimal playing time during the ECHL All-Star game in Fresno played January 25th.

After tonight, Utah returns home tomorrow hosting the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7:05 p.m.
