
Kelman Called Up to AHL Hershey

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Scott Kelman has been called up to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League. In a separate transaction, the Gladiators signed Brad Fraser.
Kelman makes his second trip to the AHL this season, this time to the Hershey Bears. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native appeared in 3 games with the Manitoba Moose from December 5th through December 15th posting two assists. Drafted in the 1st round, 15th overall, in the 1999 NHL draft by the Phoenix Coyotes, Kelman has recorded 13 goals and 29 assists for 42 points in 39 games this season with the Gladiators.
Kelman has appeared in at least one AHL in each of his four professional seasons. He has recorded 2 goals and 7 assists in 45 career AHL games. Fraser has appeared in two games this season with the Gladiators from December 17th through December 20th. The West Bloomfield, Michigan native appeared in one game last season with Gwinnett.
Kelman should be available for the Bears for their 7:05 p.m. contest tonight in Wilkes-Barre against the AHL Penguins. Fraser should be available for the Gladiators for tonight's 7:30 p.m. tilt in Columbia.
The Gwinnett Gladiators continue the 2005-06 ECHL season on the road as they battle the Columbia Inferno in Columbia at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, February 10th. The Gladiators play all 36 home games at the Arena at Gwinnett Center located on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth and are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers.
