
Coyotes Assign Stafford to San Antonio

Glendale, Arizona --- Phoenix Coyotes General manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Garrett Stafford to the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Stafford played two games for the Coyotes (Nov. 12 versus Calgary and Nov. 13 versus St. Louis) but did not register any points.
Prior to being recalled by the Coyotes on November 11, Stafford led all San Antonio defensemen in scoring with 12 points (3-9-12) and ranked second overall in scoring among AHL defensemen. The 30-year-old ;native of Los Angeles, CA. has recorded three multi-point games this season, including a three-point night (1-2-3) vs. Chicago on October 8.
Last season, Stafford collected 32 points (7-25-32) in 60 games with the Texas Stars (AHL). He ranked ninth overall in scoring with Texas.
Stafford signed with the Coyotes as an unrestricted free-agent on July 3, 2010.
