TRY AND POWER FORWARD

The Wolves have notched at least one power-play marker in 11 of their 16 games this season, which includes bagging multiple man-advantage markers four times; the Wolves rank fourth in the league with a 22.1 conversion rate on the power play (15 of 68).

WOLVES HEADLINES

--- JASON KROG: Paced the Wolves with four points (G, 3A) in three games this week, which includes notching his 200th career AHL assist on Sunday ... Ranks first on the Wolves and shares eighth in the league with 12 assists and shares first on the team with 14 points in 16 games this season ... Holds fourth on Chicago's all-time scoring register with 281 points (81G, 200A) in 218 contests, spanning four seasons (2006-08; 2009-present) ... Ranked first on the Wolves and second in the American Hockey League with 61 assists and paced the team and ranked seventh in the league with 75 points in 78 games last season

--- SPENCER MACHACEK: Potted his first two-goal game of the season and the sixth multiple-marker outing of his professional career on Friday ... Shares second on the team with five goals and ranks fourth on the club with six assists and 11 points in 16 games this season ... Shares second on the Wolves with a +4 plus/minus rating ... Shared fourth on the Wolves with 20 goals, third with a career-high 29 assists and ranked sixth with career-best 49 points in 79 games last year

--- RILEY HOLZAPFEL: Recorded his first multiple-point outing of the season when he dished out a pair of assists on Friday ... Shares fifth on the Wolves with five assists and ranks sixth with seven points in 16 games this season ... Paces the team with a +5 plus/minus rating ... Tallied 16 assists, 23 points and 30 penalty minutes in 60 games with Chicago during his second professional campaign last year

--- DARREN HAYDAR: Held scoreless in a season-high three straight games, which matches the longest scoring draught of his 140-game Wolves career ... Paces the Wolves with seven goals and is tied for first on the team with 14 points in 16 games this season ... Tallied at least one point in 105 of his 140 career games with the Wolves ... Notched 64 points (23G, 41A) in 66 contests with the Lake Erie Monsters last season

WOLF TRACKS

--- Chicago's current five-game losing streak is the longest such draught since the team dropped seven straight outings from Dec. 31, 2008, to Jan. 11, 2009; the club has notched a 1-5-0-0 mark on its current season-high eight-game road trip.

--- Defenseman PAUL POSTMA potted his first goal of the season on Sunday; the 21-year-old blueliner, who tied a franchise record for most goals by a rookie defenseman with 15 last year, paces Wolves defensemen with five assists and six points in 16 games this season.

--- The Wolves have trailed in 15 of their 16 games so far this season and have opened scoring just three times in those 16 matchups.

--- Center ANGELO ESPOSITO tallied his first career AHL goal on Wednesday, a shorthanded marker, which was also the team's first shortie of the season; the 21-year-old forward has registered one goal and 17 penalty minutes in 10 outings this season.

--- Chicago has surrendered at least one power-play goal in 13 of its 16 outings overall this year, including each of the last six; the Wolves rank 30th in the AHL with a 71.8 efficiency rating on the penalty kill (56 of 78).

FOOD FIGHT!

--- The Wolves will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items to benefit the Belvidere Boone County Food Pantry at home games on Nov. 20; Nov. 21; Nov. 23; Nov. 27 and Nov. 30. For each canned good or non-perishable food item donated, fans will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win a gift certificate to Sweet Tomatoes.

--- The Wolves surrendered four goals in the first period and couldn't catch up, falling 5-2 to the San Antonio Rampage at the AT&T Center
--- Center JASON KROG and defenseman PAUL POSTMA tallied markers for Chicago
--- Goaltenders EDWARD PASQUALE (13 of 17) and DREW MacINTYRE (20 of 21) split time in PASQUALE's loss

--- The Wolves trailed 3-2 entering the third period but gave up three unanswered goals in the final frame en route to a 6-2 defeat by the Oklahoma City Barons at the Cox Convention Center

--- The Wolves tied up the game at two midway through the third period, but were unable to take the lead, dropping a 3-2 decision against the Texas Stars at Cedar Park Center
