Hershey Bears News Release
HERSHEY - The 2010 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today the team will debut its new Saturday night call-in show this Saturday night following the HERSHEY/Wilkes-Barre/Scranton game at Giant Center. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
"BEARS Saturday Night Rewind" will run for one hour following the Fairview Golf Course postgame show after every Saturday home game the rest of the season. The new, fast-paced show will give fans the opportunity to call the radio booth after the game to be a part of postgame discussion. Longtime "Voice of the BEARS" John Walton and Ed Coffey will take calls from fans, and the broadcast will be carried across the six-station HERSHEY BEARS Radio Network.
"It's been our goal to continue to make our radio network the best in minor pro sports" said BEARS play-by-play voice John Walton. "Getting the fans involved with our new show is just another step in the process".
Fans can call in to "BEARS Saturday Night Rewind" at (717) 920-1460 after every Saturday home game to sound off on the game and ask questions from John and Ed.
HERSHEY will travel to Binghamton to play the Senators this Friday night at 7:05 p.m., with the pregame show at 6:35 p.m. on the BEARS Radio Network. The BEARS will then return home to face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:00 p.m., with the debut of "BEARS Saturday Night Rewind" immediately following the Fairview Golf Course postgame show. Hartford will come to town Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Tickets for this weekend's games are on sale now at the Giant Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911.
