Game Preview
Finishing up a two-game home stand, the Kalamazoo Wings will host the Fort Wayne Komets. Tonight is the 14th of 15 regular season encounters between the teams. On the season, the K-Wings are 5-7-1-0 against the Komets.
Starting the week with a 5-3 victory over the Indy Fuel on Tuesday, the K-Wings are looking to grow their lead for third place in the North Division. With 65 points, Kalamazoo holds a five-point lead for third over the Cincinnati Cyclones and Wheeling Nailers.
With Cincinnati losing last night, Fort Wayne has clinched a postseason berth. Despite punching their ticket to the playoffs, the Komets still have some work to do. With 86 points, Fort Wayne is tied with the Toledo Walleye for first place in the North and trail the Florida Everblades by two points in the conference.

Kessel Makes Debut
On Thursday, Kalamazoo signed former Western Michigan University Broncos forward Will Kessel. Kessel, who will be making his pro debut tonight, is the second Broncos player in a span of week (Justin Kovacs) to sign with the K-Wings.
Nearing the Century Mark
Defenseman Kane Lafranchise is closing in a personal milestone. Lafranchise needs one assist to reach 100 in his career.
Golden Goalie
Tonight goaltender Joel Martin will be wearing a special jersey to commemorate his selection to 2015 ECHL Golden Goaltender. During the season, each ECHL team will have a player and goaltender participate in ECHL Fantasy Team, with their jerseys being auction off at echl.com.
Playoff Bound
With Cincinnati losing last night to Greenville, Fort Wayne has clinched a post season berth. The Komets can now focus their attention to the division crown, as they start the night tied with the Toledo Walleye for first place in the North Division.
Comfortable on the Road
With 20 wins away from Allen County Memorial Coliseum, the Komets are tied for the second most road victories in the ECHL. Fort Wayne has outscored their opponents 108-91 in road games.
Great Against Their Own
Fort Wayne has played well against the North Division. The Komets are 30-10-2-3 against North Division foes.
Generating Scoring Chances
So far this season, the Komets are averaging 33.13 shots on goal per game. The average is the second most in the Eastern Conference and third overall in the league behind Orlando (33.62) and Idaho (33.17).
