Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings vs Cincinnati Cyclones

For the second time this week and the fifth time this season, the Kalamazoo Wings will lace up their skates against the Cincinnati Cyclones. On the season, the K-Wings are 2-1-0-1 versus the Cyclones. After tonight the teams will meet six more times, including twice at Wings Stadium.

After four straight on the road the K-Wings will hit the ice for the first time at home in the month of December. Kalamazoo enters tonight on a four-game winning streak and a six-game (5-0-0-1) unbeaten streak in regulation.

After losing 3-1 to Kalamazoo on Tuesday, Cincinnati rebounded last night by defeating the Toledo Walleye 3-2 at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. With 27 points, the Cyclones are tied with the Evansville IceMen for first place in the North Division, three points ahead of the K-Wings.

Wannstrom Returns

Forward Sebastian Wannstrom was reassigned to the K-Wings yesterday from the St. Louis Blues. Wannstrom, who played for the K-Wings previous on November 15th-16th, has posted four points (3 goals, 1 assist) in two games with Kalamazoo.

Feels Like the First Time

Tonight Kalamazoo will face-off against Cincinnati during the 14th Annual Teddy Bear Toss Game. The K-Wings, who are 14-6-0-0 all-time in Teddy Bear Toss Games, are 10-3-0-0 at home during and 4-3-0-0 as the road team.

Forward Matt Caria is starting to heat up. Caria enters tonight riding a four-game point streak.
