Road Warriors Acquire Brayden Irwin

Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced today the team has acquired Brayden Irwin from the Stockton Thunder for defenseman Lee Baldwin.

Irwin, 26, skated in 15 games for the Thunder scoring just below a point per game with eight goals and five assists. The Toronto, Ontario native split last season between the Florida Everblades and Norfolk Admirals. He played 38 games with Florida and tallied 14 goals and 15 assists. The 6'5'' 233 lbs. forward won a Kelly Cup Championship with Florida in 2012. During the 2011-12 season, Irwin registered just under a point per game with 31 points in 36 games including 17 goals. He also skated in two NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and has over 70 AHL games played.

"Brayden fills our need to enhance our offensive production," Head Coach Dean Stork commented. "His ability to generate offensive chances and score goals is something that can help our team win games. Brayden has played on a Kelly Cup winning team so he brings that experience to our locker room as well."

Baldwin, 25, played in 18 games for the Road Warriors this season scoring three goals and three assists. The defenseman has played 194 professional games, 149 of which in a Road Warriors uniform. During his tenure in Greenville, Baldwin has amassed 15 goals, 39 assists, and a +21 rating.

Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors' are hosting the Teddy Bear Toss presented by WSSL and Seven on Your Side. Bring a stuffed animal to the game to throw onto the ice after the Road Warriors score their first goal. The Road Warriors are looking to beat last year's donation of over 2,000 toys. All stuffed animals collected will be donated to Toys For Tots. Tonight also features the Warrior Fun Pack! Get four tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of chips, and two Road Warrior caps for only $48! Before the game come out to ABC Party Rentals' Warriors Fan Fest. The Warriors Fan Fest starts at 5:00 p.m. on the plaza.
