Bakersfield Condors News Release
Last Week
Tuesday, March 2nd
The Condors traveled to Alaska with just 14 skaters and two goaltenders with injuries decimating the lineup. Their first of two in Anchorage proved to be their best performance of the week, with a solid 3-0 shutout victory. Joe Watkins stopped 22 shots and the Aces were smothered by the Condors defense. Jason Jackman scored twice and set up Johan Astrom for the game winner in the first period.
Wednesday, March 3rd
The Aces returned the favor the next night, beating the Condors 3-0 in the final meeting of the season between the two clubs. Chris Lipsett scored all three goals for Alaska, who outshot Bakersfield 31-24 in the game. The Condors wrapped up their season series with the Aces, finishing the year 5-4-1 head-to-head, including a 2-2-1 record at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage.
Sunday, March 7th Attendance: 3,554
Bakersfield wrapped up the week with an afternoon game against Long Beach at Centennial Garden. Jason Ralph (two goals, including a penalty shot), Todd Alexander and Paul Rosebush all tallied for the Condors, but the Ice Dogs took a 7-4 win. Rosebush's goal midway through the game tied the score at 3-3, but the Aces pulled in front with three straight power play goals. They finished 4-for-9 on the night with the advantage.
Where We're At
The Condors have a record of 21-33-7 heading into this week, with 49 points on the season. They sit in 5th place in the Pacific Division, 17 points behind the Alaska Aces and three points ahead of the Long Beach Ice Dogs.

Notes from the Nest
· Jason Jackman has 3g-2a-5pts in five games since returning to the lineup after a 21-game stay on IR. He had one goal and seven points in 30 games prior to that.
· Jason Ralph became the first Condor to score on a penalty shot this season on Sunday. His two goals put him in first on the team with 24 tallies on the season.
· Ralph and Paul Rosebush are tied for the team lead with four multi-goal games this year.
· The Condors have allowed more than one power play goal in a game 16 times this season (26.2% of their games). Sunday was the seventh time they have allowed three or more PPGs in a game and the third time they have allowed four. Last season, they allowed two or more in a game only 11 times.
Quote of the Week
"I guess they didn't want the day off." Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond said after Sunday's game, in Monday's Bakersfield Californian. He told the team a victory on Sunday would earn them a day off on Monday.
