Florida remains in second after weekend split

The Florida Everblades picked up a series split in Biloxi, Mississippi this past weekend after they fell to the Mississippi Sea Wolves 3-1 on Friday night and rebounded to down the Sea Wolves 3-1 on Saturday night. The Blades downed the Augusta Lynx 5-2 this past Tuesday night. Florida ranks second in the ECHL's Southern Division and has gone 3-2-0 in their last five games. Florida forward Brian McCullough ranks in second place in the ECHL in scoring with 76 points. Everblades regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com, www.ABC-7.com and www.NBC-2.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Dan Guenther calling the play-by-play. The games can be also be heard inside TECO arena on 96.5 FM. 'Blade Talk' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage on Sportsradio 770 AM airs from 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday nights. The show will be live on remote at the Fort Myers location tonight with player guest defenseman Mike Torney.

UPCOMING EVENTS/PROMOTIONS AT TECO ARENA: The Blades host the Greenville Grrrowl on Friday, March 12th and Saturday, March 13th at 7:30 PM. The first 1,000 fans to the game on Saturday will receive a Reggie Berg bobble head doll courtesy of the Naples Daily News. Newsboys and Rebecca St. James are in concert at TECO Arena on Sunday, March 21st at 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Yanni will play a sold out TECO Arena on Sunday, March 28th at 7:00 PM. Friday, March 12th vs. Greenville 7:30 PM/EST

GAME NOTES: This will be the fifth meeting between the two clubs this season. The Everblades are 4-0-0 versus the Grrrowl this year and 27-11-3 all-time. Florida upended Greenville 6-5 in a shootout back on January 10th in Greenville, SC. The Grrrowl are ranked 8th in the Southern division and their 10 wins and 25 points rank last in the ECHL.

Saturday, March 13th vs. Greenville 7:30 PM/EST

GAME NOTES: This will be the sixth and final meeting of the regular season between the two clubs. The first 1,000 fans at the game will receive a Reggie Berg bobble head doll courtesy of the Naples Daily News.

The Florida Everblades (30-21-10) defeated the Augusta Lynx (23-27-6) 5-2 in front of 5,516 at TECO arena Tuesday night. Tom Buckley and John McNabb led the offensive attack scoring two goals apiece.

Friday, March 5th @ Mississippi 1-3 L

The Florida Everblades (30-22-10) were defeated by the Mississippi Sea Wolves (35-18-6) 3-1 in front of 4,569 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday night. Mississippi forwards Steffon Walby and Louis Dumont each notched a goal and an assist in the Sea Wolves victory.

Saturday, March 6th @ Mississippi 3-1 W

The Florida Everblades (31-22-10) defeated the Mississippi Sea Wolves (35-19-6) 3-1 in front of 4,223 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Saturday night. Florida forward Brian McCullough picked up the game winning goal and Tom Buckley notched two assists in the Blades victory.
