Alaska Aces News Release

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – With five players at their disposal that were not available as recently as last week, the Alaska Aces appear more than ready for their regular season home finale this week.

The Aces (31-23-4) open a three-game series at Sullivan Arena Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. against the Cincinnati Cyclones, who outlasted Trenton in a shootout Saturday for just their second victory in the last 17 games (2-14-1). Charles Linglet, who had been called up to the American Hockey League but had not dressed for his last five games in Utah, arrived back in Anchorage today and should be in the lineup Wednesday. He has missed 10 of Alaska's 58 games but still ranks tied for third on the club in scoring with 43 points (15g-28a).

Captain Keith McCambridge, sidelined for the last eight games with a bone bruise, also returns, as does Mark Smith (39 points in 34 games), who has not played since January 24 after breaking a bone in practice. In addition, Wednesday's game will mark the Alaska debuts of forward Bret DeCecco and defenseman Malcolm Hutt, who were picked up last week from fellow playoff contender Peoria in a trade for blueliner Dave Csumrik.

Not all is well in the Last Frontier, however, as the team's leading scorer, Joe Talbot (24g-32a-56p), aggravated an injury suffered earlier this season and will not play this week against Cincinnati. Today, the Aces released forward Mike Forsland, an Anchorage product who played at Dimond High before attending Sacred Heart University and contributing four assists in 11 pro games for Alaska this season.

Alaska and Cincinnati clash twice more Friday and Saturday, and the team will offer a jersey auction following Friday's contest. All three games against the Cyclones start at 7:00 p.m. and are broadcast live on KFQD 750 AM and at www.alaskaaces.com, with Jack Michaels calling the play-by-play. Coverage begins 20 minutes prior to the opening face-off, presented by GCI.

The Aces already have sold 442 season tickets for 2004-05, sixth-most in the ECHL. For the latest information regarding purchasing season tickets for next year, please call 258-ACES.
