Augusta Lynx News Release
The Augusta Lynx won one, lost one, and tied one this week in three games away from home.
3/2 Augusta 2 @ Florida 5
Florida jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead before the Lynx charged back with a pair of power play goals from Louis Goulet and Jarrett Thompson, closing the gap to 3-2. Tom Buckley and John McNabb would each net their second goal of the game to register a 5-2 final for the Everblades. Jason Saal (9-12; 6:35) and Gregg Naumenko (21-23; 53:25) split the netminding duties, with Saal taking the loss. Buckley's first goal was his 100th in an Everblades uniform.
3/4 Augusta 2 @ Pensacola 3 (OT)
The Lynx fell behind 1-0 on a Dwayne Hay marker before coming back for a 2-1 lead on goals from Todd Bennett and Jonathan Gagnon (PP) in the second period. The Lynx looked to nab two points in regulation before Aaron Gionet tied the game with just 4:11 remaining, sending the contest to overtime. Jade Galbraith's wraparound goal gave the Ice Pilots the win at 1:34 of the extra session, dropping Augusta to 1-4 in overtime decisions this year.
3/6 Augusta 3 @ Columbus 2
In a must-win situation in Columbus on Saturday, the Lynx responded with a late rally and an important victory in regulation against the Cottonmouths. Scott Corbett started the scoring just 26 seconds into the opening frame, sliding home a backhander for a 1-0 Lynx lead. Columbus would claw back into the game for a 2-1 lead on goals by Colin Pepperall and Brad Voth, but the Lynx found their stride in the third period. First Louis Goulet's goal tied the game at 2-2 just 3:54 into the period, followed by Treavor Peterson's first pro goal for the eventual game winner at 11:12, giving the Lynx a 3-2 win in regulation. Jason Saal stopped 38 shots for his 12th win.

Lynx Notes
* Louis Goulet is on an eight game scoring streak, dating back to 2/19 against Florence. Over that stretch, Goulet has five goals and 12 points, including a pair of goals against Pensacola on 2/26 in a 5-1 Lynx win. Goulet is also +5 over that stretch and the Lynx have gone 3-2-2 as a whole over that time.
* Treavor Peterson scored his first goal as a pro on Saturday in the Lynx's 3-2 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths. The goal ended up as the game winner for Augusta in a must-win game against a key division rival.
* Augusta's come from behind win in the third period on Saturday was only their second of the season. When trailing after two periods of play this year the Lynx are 2-23-1, with both wins coming on the road this year.
* Augusta is 19-2-4 when scoring first this season.
* Saturday marked the first time in six games the Lynx had not scored a power play goal. Over that span, the team was 9-for-31 on the man advantage for a 29.0 % success rate.
